Founded in 2010 by Claudia Costa, La Plataforma is a contemporary art gallery and creative production studio located in a former printing factory in the industrial area of Poblenou. The space works with both national and international artists, promoting projects related to contemporary art and offering a place for the dissemination, creation, and promotion of new artistic proposals.
Since its beginnings, the gallery has focused its program on supporting emerging and mid-career artists, developing an exhibition program that reflects the different realities of today’s cultural landscape. In addition, La Plataforma is an active part of the creative ecosystem of Poblenou and hosts the headquarters of Poblenou Urban District, an initiative that since 2012 has worked to consolidate Poblenou as Barcelona’s creative district.
