La Plataforma participated in AR-DE for the tenth time. AR-DE, the circuit of galleries, design spaces, and cultural venues organized by Poblenou Urban District, fosters dialogue between participating spaces and the public, encouraging direct engagement with contemporary art.
This edition features Unfunny Paintings by German artist Matti Schulz. The exhibition brings together an extensive selection of large- and small-scale paintings and drawings in which humor coexists with a critical perspective on reality. Schulz explores social events and, at times, more personal experiences through an apparently lighthearted and spontaneous visual language. His informal brushstrokes introduce a certain irony that contrasts with the complexity of the themes running through his work.
On Friday the 23rd, an Afterwork & Art event was held around Unfunny Paintings. On Saturday the 24th, the gallery team led guided tours, and on Sunday the 25th, a woven mask-making workshop led by Julio Loaiza took place, accompanied by a Vermut & Art event.
