Marina Salazar [No Queda Tinte]

(Barcelona, 1990)

Multidisciplinary artist, university lecturer, designer, and art director. Graduated in Graphic Design from the BAU University Centre, where she also completed the Master’s in Motion Graphics and 3D, and the Master’s in Research and Experimentation in Design (BAU, 2014).

Her work focuses on muralism and the intervention of figures, which she imbues with new meanings from pop imagery, controlled baroque, and kitsch aesthetics.

Intervened from her pop imagination, the figures she finds in second-hand markets acquire new meanings through the philosophy of upcycling, which adds value to the object and gives it new functions. These surviving objects take on a new personality, capable of making the viewer believe that the pieces have finally liberated their true nature.

You can see her work exhibited at: «SURVIVING OBJECTS», «EL ÉXTASIS DE SANTA MARÍA», «JUSTMAD 2024», «ARTE&VENTA [11]», «THE LAB» y «LA COLECTIVA».
