(Istanbul, Turkey, 1997)
Based in Istanbul, artist Ece Haskan graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Drawing on cultural games and social narratives, Haskan produces surrealist paintings, sculptures, and installations. In her work, she critically explores the intersections between individual identity, the perception of reality, and collective memory through an ironic approach, while also creating interactive pieces that center on play and audience participation.
In 2022, Haskan gained visibility in the Turkish art scene as one of the artists featured in Mamut Art Project. Since then, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions, as well as art fairs such as Contemporary Istanbul and Artweeks.
Her works are included in the Taviloğlu Private Collection and numerous other private collections throughout Türkiye.
From 2023 onward, she has also been active internationally as an illustrator, taking part in exhibitions abroad. In Turkey, she has collaborated as an illustrator with both local and global brands, including Beymen, Yeni Rakı, and Adidas. In 2024, she held her first solo exhibition, Saklambaç, at Büyükdere 35, curated by Emrah Çoban. She continues to expand her international presence through exhibitions at La Plataforma in Barcelona and Adrián Ibáñez Galería in Colombia. Haskan currently maintains her artistic practice as an independent artist in her studio in Istanbul.
