Ece Haskan

(Istanbul, Turkey, 1997)

Artist Ece Haskan, based in Istanbul, creates surrealist paintings, sculptures, and installations inspired by cultural games and social narratives. Her work explores the intersections of individual identity, perceptions of reality, and collective memory, often infused with irony and playfulness. Through interactive and participatory pieces, she invites viewers to question social conventions and the roles we perform within them.

Haskan completed her artistic education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, specializing in Graphic Design, and has been working as an illustrator and artist since 2017. Her illustrations and artworks have been exhibited internationally, including at Illustroweek Belgrade (Serbia), NFT NYC (USA), and the Blockchain Futurist Summit (Toronto, Canada).

In 2023, one of her illustrations was selected and exhibited at the Cheltenham Illustration Awards & Annual in the United Kingdom. Selected as one of the artists of the Mamut Art Project 2022, which supports emerging talents in Turkey, Haskan has been actively involved in the contemporary Turkish art scene, participating in numerous group exhibitions and major art fairs such as Contemporary Istanbul and Artweeks.

In 2024, she presented her first solo exhibition, Hide and Seek, at Büyükdere 35 in Istanbul, curated by Emrah Çoban.
Haskan continues to work from her personal studio in Istanbul, where she develops her distinctive surrealist approach, combining irony, symbolism, and social critique across multiple media.
