(Barcelona, 1980)

Since childhood, Daniel has been fascinated by magical realism, consuming a large number of films and books in this genre. His works, inspired by cinema and literature, depict characters and scenes that seem taken from a film still—where something is happening, yet the context is missing to fully understand it. Thus, his illustrations invite the viewer to imagine, fantasize, and dream.
He uses adversity and pain as a guiding thread, conveyed through easily recognizable attributes. The scenes he represents emulate the film still format, serving as a window into his own world where the unheard-of becomes commonplace.
