The exhibition is based on a reading of the sphinx as a paradigm of the immeasurable, linked to notions of justice, catharsis, and knowledge. Through this figure, the project delves into the tension between fear, desire, and knowledge, exploring the moment when the forbidden or unknown transforms into an experience of appropriation and empowerment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe human mind perceives as monstrous that which is ungraspable, untamed, or incomprehensible, due to its size, nature, or complexity. Thus, the sphinx\u2014an enigma par excellence and, for Jung, a symbol of the terrible mother\u2014is a paradigm of the immeasurable. The Theban sphinx, terrible to its victims, fulfills the pacts of justice as the supreme good by throwing itself from Mount Cithaeron once the riddle with which it plagued the citizens is solved.
