Yoshihito Suzuki is a Japanese visual artist based in Barcelona. His work explores the intersection of opposing concepts such as the artificial and the natural, the sacred and the profane, and the material and the immaterial. Through this approach, he seeks to evoke in the viewer a spirituality that arises from the reconciliation and dialogue between these contrasts.<\/p>\n
Much of his inspiration comes from contemporary environmental issues, such as climate change and the current mass extinction of species. Suzuki believes that the root of these crises lies in humanity\u2019s increasing disconnection from nature, the erosion of respect for it, and the growing emphasis on the artificial. This reflection forms the core concept of his work.<\/p>\n
To give shape to these ideas, the artist employs organic drawing patterns applied to everyday objects, as well as allegorical representations combining symbols and pictograms. One notable pattern is Mosschen, a term that fuses the English words moss and lichen.
