Multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, poetry, and video art. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Armando Rever\u00f3n Institute of Higher Studies in Fine Arts (IUESAPAR) in Caracas (1996) and a Master\u2019s in Art and Therapy from the University of Barcelona (2008).<\/p>\n
Her work blends autobiographical content with socially-oriented testimonies. In her paintings \u2014as in her poems\u2014, she speaks to us about love, anguish, desire, the body, rage, being a woman, animality, sexuality, being a migrant, and she delves into the complexities of the psyche and the elusive nature of our being.<\/p>\n
For Haddad, painting itself is a powerful language that communicates beyond words, which she also uses on the canvas. Haddad represents herself and women as strong, potent, vulnerable animal-beings shaped by feeling-thinking, while also understanding that the keys to comprehending oppression and resistance lie in relationships and the urgency for a better life\u2014with strength, trust, faith, and courage\u2014while operating through irreverence, irony, and humor.<\/p>\n
