La Plataforma is proud to present The Greatest Show on Earth (and Other Lies), a duo exhibition by artists Nathalie Rey and Ece Haskan, opening on October 16, 2025. Following the success of their 2023 collaboration Invitation to Play at Offgrid Art Space in Istanbul, Rey and Haskan reunite to transform the gallery into a surreal carnival — a place where games, myths, and social rituals reveal their hidden mechanics.
Drawing from the aesthetics of carnival booths and sideshows, the works invite visitors to test their aim, peek behind curtains, and question what’s really on offer. Rey’s giant Rabbits installation and wooden castle modules reimagine childhood fantasies as sly commentaries on consumption and hyper reality.
Haskan, meanwhile, turns to sanctified imagery, dissecting the ways power, obedience, and belief shape collective values. Using the human body as both subject and stage, she creates unsettling tableaus where faith, authority, and spectacle collide. Her works oscillate between playfulness and provocation, exposing the body as a site of manipulation as much as wonder.
Together, the artists create a space that feels at once festive and unsettling — a reminder that, in the great fair of life, we are all players, targets, and sometimes even the prize.
