“Surviving Objects” are guerrilla figures that claim a space for themselves in a world that they have found changed after being rescued from oblivion.
These figures, intervened through Marina Salazar’s pop imagination, take on new meanings through upcycling, adding value and giving them new functions. The surviving objects reveal their true nature, showing a new personality and releasing their essence before the viewer.
Marina Salazar (Barcelona, 1990) holds a degree in Graphic Design from the BAU University Center, where she also completed a Master’s in Motion Graphics and 3D and another in Research and Experimentation in Design (2014). She is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, designer, and art director.
