DEL COLOR A LA FORMA – Juan Sesé

“Del color a la forma” is the result of the work that Juan Sesé he carried out his work throughout 2020 and 2021 during his residency at Utopía 126 (Barcelona). In this exhibition, Sesé presents a series of paintings and collages inspired by nature. Through expansive figures and compositional games, his works reflect the tensions of the organic world and the elasticity and resilience of natural mediums.

“The idea emerged during the lockdown and aims, through the abstraction that characterizes my work, to explore the concepts of flexibility, elasticity, resilience, and survival capacity that the natural and organic world possesses.”

Juan Sesé (Zárate, Argentina, 1984) holds a degree in Social Communication from the University of Buenos Aires. He began his artistic practice in 2012, studying in workshops with Hernán Paganini and Leila Tschopp. He worked as an assistant to Jorge Sarsale, and since then has dedicated himself exclusively to his own work. His work, characterized by fields of color, geometries, and organic silhouettes, unfolds in abstraction. He uses collage and painting to create visual spaces that evoke decontextualized forms and organisms.
