Carlos Anzola

(Venezuela, 1970)

Graduated in architecture from the Central University of Caracas (1995). He later specialized in sculpture at the Federico Brandt Institute (Caracas, 1998), in printmaking and collagraphy at the Museum of Print and Design Cruz-Diez (Caracas, 1998), and in assemblage and mixed media at the Arts Students League (New York, 2011).

His work focuses on identifying surfaces suitable for intervention, where he applies his knowledge of composition, painting, and assemblage to create pieces that act as intergenerational bridges. His works revolve around memory, exodus, and seriality in the post-industrial era.
